Cape Trail Tours
Hiker overlooking the Atlantic coastline from rocky terrain on Cape Town's 13 Peaks route

Activities

Hiking, trail running, open-water swimming and kayaking. Most guests combine two or more into an itinerary shaped around their pace, interests and the weather on the day.

Hiking

Guided hikes matched to your fitness, experience and preferred pace, from coastal paths to mountain trails on Table Mountain, Cape Point, the Winelands, the Cederberg and the Garden Route. Routes and timings are always weather and conditions dependent.

Trail Running

Explore Cape trails with local guides, from shorter scenic runs to longer, supported mountain challenges. Distance, terrain and start times are planned around your running background and the conditions on the day.

Open-water Swimming

A guided ocean or tidal-pool swim can be added to many days, usually after a hike or run. Water temperature, swell and wind vary considerably around the Peninsula, so swims are always arranged on the day, based on conditions and on what each guest is comfortable with.

Kayaking

Time on the water in a sheltered Cape bay, seeing the coastline and the mountains from the sea. Suitable for most fitness levels and, like everything on the water, entirely weather and sea-state dependent.

These activities are building blocks rather than fixed products. Tell us which appeal to you and we will shape an itinerary around them, adjusting as the weather and your energy allow.
